Beaches, monuments, museums, parks, gardens, markets, malls, waterfalls, backwaters, etc. are few of the things that attract people the most. Apart from all this, the local people of Kozhikode are also very kind and loving. They can sweep your heart away with their traditional values and their charm. Though some people here might be old-fashioned, many people (especially youngsters), have started adopting the modern lifestyle. This has also given a bit of a benefit to the foreign tourists as they can find food joints and spots which they feel more comfortable with. Kozhikode has been very famous ever since the year 1498 when Vasco Da Gama had first set foot here.

Apart from the historical significance that this beautiful city has, Kozhikode is also famous for spices and its festivals. It has many beautiful and famous temples, churches and mosques, which also give proof of the rich architecture of the city. Though there are many areas and localities in Kozhikode that are a must-visit, you can spend an entire day by taking a tour of the main places which are close to each other. Thus, you can enjoy some of the best things that this city has to offer in just one day.
